My strongest work happens at the intersection of technology strategy and engineering execution. I can move from an executive conversation about risk, product direction or investment into the architecture and implementation details that determine whether the plan will actually work.
Engineering leadership
Building and leading engineering organizations, setting technical direction, mentoring leaders, managing vendors and aligning delivery with business priorities.
Architecture & platforms
Cloud-native SaaS, distributed systems, APIs, identity, asynchronous workflows, high availability and systems designed for security and auditability.
Cloud & infrastructure
Azure, AWS, GCP, OpenStack, enterprise networking, storage, data centers, business continuity, disaster recovery and infrastructure modernization.
AI, data & automation
Applied machine learning, AI-assisted document analysis, fraud and trust systems, workflow automation, analytics and practical integration of AI into production systems.
Hands-on technical depth
I remain technically active. My current work is centered on C#, .NET, SQL, Azure and API-driven systems, with Python and other languages where they are the right tool. My infrastructure background includes Microsoft enterprise platforms, Linux, virtualization, storage technologies including Ceph and Lustre, and network and identity systems.
Operating in complicated environments
I’m particularly effective in environments where technology cannot be considered in isolation: regulated workflows, security requirements, acquisitions, legacy modernization, reliability problems, rapidly growing products and projects where several technical disciplines have to meet in one architecture.
